Browns Hoping For Denzel Ward Return With Week 15 Injury Report

It’s been another week of bad injury news for the Browns with the announcements that DT Maurice Hurst and S Grant Delpit were headed to the IR. The team also found out that DE Obo Okoronkwo may be headed for a similar fate and now LT Jed Wills won’t return off of it.
Perhaps some positive injury news looms large for the Browns in the form of a return for Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward. He practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday to open up the week of practice, which is the same designation he had throughout Week 14, and ultimately left him inactive for kickoff with the Jaguars.
A return for Ward would be a major boost for the Browns defense and secondary that will be without Delpit for at least the rest of the regular season. It’s also unclear if safety Juan Thornill will be able to play as he deals with a calf injury, suffered in pregame warmups this past weekend. The team is also hoping to have starting center Ethan Pocic back against Chicago, who left the Jaguars game with a stinger and did not practice to open up the week.
