Jarrod Bowen may not be fit to start for West Ham against Bayer Leverkusen despite having returned to full training with the squad, David Moyes has confirmed.
The Hammers boss shared [via Malik Ouzia on X] that he is unsure whether the England winger will be fit enough to start the game, but admitted it was great to have him back in training.
Moyes also explained that the same would be the case for Manchester City loanee Phillips as he revealed the midfielder will have a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Bowen missed the first leg through injury amid concerns that he could miss both legs, but having sat out the 2-0 defeat to Fulham, he has now returned to full training and looks almost certain to play a part in the game, even if he can’t start.
A return for the second leg would provide Moyes and his team with a much-needed boost to their attacking potential as they look to claw back a 2-0 deficit to mount a shock turnaround against the heavily favoured Germans.
Leverkusen lifted the Bundesliga title at the weekend and will be on a high heading into the game, particularly after their two late goals in the first leg as the demand will now be on the Hammers to take the game to them.
