Everton insider slams 'Complicated' Premier League development amid Man City PSR verdictBryan King believes the proposed Premier League spending cap is “yet another complicated rule” and has questioned why Manchester City are yet to be punished.

The ex-Everton scout doesn’t see the point of bringing in a fair play rule if not every club is going to be treated equally.

It comes after Premier League clubs voted in principle for a spending cap to replace the current profit and sustainability rules from the 2025/26 season onwards (Sky Sports News, 30 April).

King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – feels that this is an unnecessary move from the Premier League, and would like to see them instead focus their attention on Manchester City.

“This is just yet another complicated rule,” King said.Everton insider slams 'Complicated' Premier League development amid Man City PSR verdict

“I don’t see why the Premier League need to implement this, it is completely unnecessary.

“There are always going to be richer clubs and poorer clubs in football, you’re never going to change that.

“If they want to bring a fair play rule in, bring it in for everybody. Why have we still not heard anything about Manchester City’s charges?”
