‘On various days,’ Ashley Young predicts Everton goals and offers a message to supporters.
Ashely Young spoke after Everton’s Premier League loss to Arsenal at Goodison Park.
Ashley Young is confident that his Everton team will begin to score goals and has urged supporters to be patient as they seek their first Premier League victory of the season.
Sean Dyche’s team remain winless after five league games this season, having only scored once, in a 2-2 draw with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane before the international break.
Everton stayed up on the final day of the season with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth, but they are back in the relegation zone after taking only one point from five games this season.
But, speaking in the immediate aftermath of his team’s defeat to Mikel Arteta’s side, Young believes that, despite his team’s troubles, now is not the time to panic.

“You look at the chances we’ve been creating in the games, and on different days, it’s a different story,” he remarked.
“When you create those chances, it is up to everyone in the team, not just the forwards, to score.”
“I have complete faith in the team and the squad to go out and score goals.” It’s on its way.”
Before continuing, he said, “We are a few games in; if we were near the end of the season, we would be questioning things, but as I said, we are only a few games in.”
“There are plenty of games and points to be had.” If we don’t take the positives from the games and create opportunities like we have. We’d have more points on the board on certain days.
“Once again, we got done by a few minor details today.” It’s one of those when a set-piece gets you.”
When asked if he had any words for the supporters, Young replied, “Stay with us. Continue to support us as they have.
“Whether we’re at home or away, the Everton fans are fantastic every week.” It is up to us as players on the field to keep them coming back and score points.”
