The Titans aren’t trading Mike Vrabel
Diana Russini says Mike Vrabel isn’t going anywhere
There was a report a couple of weeks ago that Robert Kraft’s dream scenario was to replace Bill Belichick with Mike Vrabel whenever the New England Patriots and Belichick part ways. It seems like that could happen at the end of this season.
The Patriots would have to trade for Vrabel who is still under contract with the Tennessee Titans. We don’t know the exact length of the contract, but we do know that both Vrabel and then-GM Jon Robinson signed contract extensions in 2022. The contract he signed was most likely for at least three years. That would put him under contract at least through the 2024 season.
Diana Russini is reporting this morning that no trade will be happening. From her article:
She goes on to say that no one is happy with the losing, but that Vrabel is good at getting everyone to buy in on doing things his way. I’m not sure that is still the case, but it would be tough to keep everyone on the same page with all of the losing that has been happening, and it is clear that the biggest reason for the losing is the personnel.
So there you have it. As of today, and we have all seen reports like this that ended up changing over time, Vrabel isn’t going anywhere.
