Blow to Nottingham Forest’s move as Chelsea makes a bid to rivals in the Premier League

Nottingham Forest have been dealt a blow in their transfer pursuit of Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Reds have been linked with a move for the forward, who spent last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. He made 14 appearances in the German top flight, and is now attracting the attention from clubs across Europe.

With Forest joining Lazio among the clubs most heavily linked, it now appears that Premier League rivals Fulham have stole a march by making a “verbal proposal” for the 22-year-old.

That’s according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who claims Fulham have put forward the offer of £4million to sign the former England youth international. He says Chelsea want double that, though negotiations are “advanced” despite the gap in valuations.
