Leeds United loses the interest of a club Man Due To Deal’s High Cost

Spanish club Real Sociedad have ended their interest in signing Leeds United left-back Junior Firpo due to financial reasons.

Firpo is one of several players who could leave Leeds by the end of the transfer window as Daniel Farke rejigs the squad for the upcoming Championship season.

The former Barcelona left-back struggled in the Premier League last season and came in for heavy criticism for some of his performances.

He has suitors in Spain where several clubs have been keeping tabs on him but one of those teams have already backed out.

According to Noticias de Gipuzoka, Sociedad are no longer interested in signing the left-back in the ongoing transfer window.

They were previously keen on him and considered trying to take him to the Basque club this summer.

However, the costs of doing a deal to sign the defender turned out to be prohibitive for Sociedad.

La Real are not prepared to make the financial commitment needed to sign Firpo this summer.

It remains to be seen whether the left-back manages to attract offers from other clubs in the coming weeks.
