Nottingham Forest has turned down Brentford’s two offers for the 22-year-old forward.

Brentford have seen two offers rejected by Nottingham Forest for long-term target Brennan Johnson, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed the Bees have tracked the 22-year-old for around two years and remained keen on his signature even after Forest’s promotion to the Premier League.

Brentford’s latest offer of £35million plus add-ons for Johnson has been rebuffed – with Steve Cooper’s side believed to be holding out for a much bigger fee.

It is believed Forest boss Cooper is keen to build his side around Johnson as he looks to turn the Midlands side into a force to be reckoned with in the coming seasons.

The forward signed a fresh four-year contract at the City Ground last year (2022), keeping him at the club until June 2026.
