Eddie Howe- A second Newcastle player will be leaving after Ashby.

Newcastle United have sent Harrison Ashby on loan to Swansea City, and he will be followed out of the club by another Toon youngster.

With Newcastle set to sign Tino Livramento from Southampton, that has opened the door for Swansea to officially secure the services of Ashby – despite the fact the right-back has already been training with his new team ahead of the Championship season starting this weekend.

Spending the season in Wales will be a good opportunity for Ashby, as he looks to get regular senior minutes under his belt and continue his development. His overall goal will be to become a Premier League player for Newcastle, and this loan spell should help him achieve that goal.

And Ashby is not the only Newcastle youngster who is leaving St James’ Park on a temporary deal.

Eddie Howe confirms that Garang Kuol is nearing Newcastle exit

Eddie Howe has spoke to the media ahead of this weekend’s Sela Cup, and has confirmed that Garang Kuol is close to leaving the club on loan.

“I met with him [Kuol] yesterday and had a really good chat,” he said.

“I believe he’ll be going on loan on Friday.”

Newcastle beat Barcelona to impressive Garang Kuol signing, and plan for record-setting striker is already laid out

The 18-year-old spent the second half of last season with Hearts, where he struggled for minutes. However, he did admit that he enjoyed his experience north of the border.

Now Kuol is closing in on another loan move away from Tyneside, and it looks like he is going much further afield this time.

While Howe did not confirm where Kuol is being sent, it was recently reported that FC Volendam are set to sign the young Aussie.

The Athletic stated that Newcastle have decided to send Kuol to the Eredivisie club as the league has a good reputation for developing young players.

Hopefully that is what happens with Kuol, as he is a player who has a huge amount of potential. There is so much hype surrounding the forward, which is why his loan move to Hearts was so disappointing.

There will be a smaller spotlight on him at Volendam, so hopefully that lifts the pressure and allows him to shine in the Netherlands.
