I MAY DECIDE TO KEEP HIM- David Moyes

Atalanta have now overtaken Inter Milan to be in the driver’s seat to sign West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Sky Sports Italy journalist reported on Saturday (5 August) that they’re poised to complete the hijack and are very close to reaching an agreement to sign the Italy international, 24.

The Hammers are prepared to accept the £21.6million package along with £4.3million in add-ons to sign the striker.

Via Twitter, Romano wrote, “Atalanta are close to complete hijack of Gianluca Scamacca deal — West Ham are prepared to accept €25m plus €5m add-ons proposal. Agreement on the verge of being done between all parties, here we go soon. Inter will now focus again on talks for Folarin Balogun.”

Get it done

It seems like after one bad season in the Premier League, the Italian is giving up and returning to his comfort zone.

The Serie A is certainly an easier league to play in and he’s not been able to cut it in the English top flight for the Hammers.

West Ham

David Moyes even preferred to play Michail Antonio on multiple occasions which shows just how much he rated Scamacca.

The club will have made a loss on Scamacca but it’s better than letting him leave on loan and they now have the funds to sign a replacement.

It remains to be seen who ends up joining the Hammers as right now it’s been somewhat of an exodus with Declan Rice spearheading a long list of players that have left the club.

Scamacca will be added to that list and he’s unlikely to be the last one out of the door for the Hammers.
