Medical in 24hrs: Player agrees personal terms to sign for Everton – Alan Myers

Alan Myers reveals Everton transfer news as Chermiti agrees personal terms, medical in next 24 hours

Youssef Chermiti has agreed personal terms ahead of his move from Sporting CP to Everton, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports journalist tweeted on 5 August that a deal for the Portuguese forward was now “done” and that he is expected to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours.

Myers also revealed that the move for the 19-year-old is set to cost the Toffees an initial £12million that could later rise up to £15million in add ons.

Final hurdle

It looks as though the deal to take Chermiti to Goodison Park is just about there after personal terms have now been agreed with the forward.

It only seemed like being a matter of time before that would be the case, but the longer it takes to strike a deal, the more people are concerned about whether it will eventually happen.

But the final remaining hurdle is now just the medical and once that is completed in the next couple of days, the Toffees will have a much-needed fresh option up front and Sean Dyche will no doubt be pleased.

Everton

Despite the Portuguese still only being a teenager, the Toffees have shown that they believe in his quality and potential down the line after agreeing terms with Sporting over a potential £15million deal despite the reported ongoing financial constraints at the club.

The 6’4″ forward broke into the Primeira Liga side’s team last season and scored three goals and laid on two assists in 22 appearances.

It may take him some time to get used to Premier League football, but the Blues will be hoping he can have some sort of impact in the upcoming campaign and be a big star of the future.
