BREAKING NEWS: Nottingham Forest promotion hero, has just been placed on the transfer list.

Nottingham Forest promotion hero Djed Spence has been made available for transfer by Tottenham. The defender signed for the North London club after his amazing loan spell at the City Ground.

Now, according to the Evening Standard, Spence’s days are numbered at Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou is trying to offload the player and has placed him on the transfer list.

It’s been nothing short of a disaster at Tottenham for Spence. He barely featured at all under Antonio Conte and in the January transfer window, he joined Rennes on loan.

Forest promotion winner Spence has made just six appearances for Tottenham. Conte’s departure hasn’t opened the door for the 22-year-old player and now he has been made available for transfer.

Whether Forest will be alerted to this news, remains to be seen. They do have two right-backs at the moment, with Neco Williams and Serge Aurier in the squad.

Furthermore, Ola Aina has been signed this summer. He can also play as a right-back and perhaps there are more pressing concerns to strengthen before they pursue Spence.

The energetic performer was class at Forest. Spence made 46 appearances during his time on Trentside and was called ‘unbelievable’ by Ian Wright after the Reds beat Arsenal in the FA Cup.

This is quite remarkable. Spence has barely had any time at all to make an impact at Tottenham and now he could be set for a permanent move away from the club.

The youngster would be worshipped back at Forest. However, there is a real argument to suggest that the club don’t really need to sign another right-back right now.
