Leeds United face losing Max Aarons deal to AFC Bournemouth as Premier League side make late move..

Leeds United look set to miss out on signing Norwich City defender Max Aarons, with Premier League side AFC Bournemouth hijacking the deal at the 11th hour.

The Whites were hopeful of bringing full-back Aarons to Elland Road, where he would be reunited with his former Norwich manager Daniel Farke. However, it now looks as though he will be heading to the Premier League this summer.

Sky Sports report that Bournemouth are paying a £7 million initial payment. £3.5 million in potential add-ons.

Aarons previously excelled under Farke at Carrow Road and with him now in the final year of his contract at the club, he finally looks set to leave East Anglia, fresh from winning the under-21 European Championships with England last month.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted tonight: “Max Aarons to Bournemouth, here we go! Leeds deal has been hijacked with last minute £7m plus add-ons bid, now accepted by Norwich. AFC Bournemouth left Maehle deal to focus on Aarons hijack, now completed. English fullback already on his way to medical tests.”
