VERDICT; FIFA has made its decision as LEICESTER CITY REQUEST TO HOST ENGLAND IN OCTOBER..

Leicester City’s King Power Stadium will host England’s UEFA Women’s Nations League fixture against Belgium in October.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official press release from The Football Association just a short time ago. The fixture is scheduled to take place in the East Midlands on Friday 27 October 2023 and will kick-off at 7.45pm.

Belgium are certainly no strangers to England or their head coach Sarina Wiegman. The Red Flames faced the Lionesses at Molineux in June 2022 as part of both nations’ preparations for the UEFA Women’s EURO last summer. On that occasion, England ran out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Chloe Kelly and Rachel Daly while Belgian keeper Nicky Evrard scored an own goal.

Belgium also faced England in this year’s Arnold Clark Cup. They were defeated 6-1 in Bristol. Kelly and Leah Williamson both scored braces while Lucy Bronze was also on target. The other goal came in the form of a Julie Biesmans own goal.
