Drameh to leave? Two replacements Leeds United must pursue as another concern opens up – View

Leeds United could be seeing Cody Drameh leave the club as Southampton circle for his signature, opening the door for Daniel Farke to bring in a new signing.

The Whites may have another name in their squad to be forced to replace in the form of Cody Drameh this month.

That is because Southampton have now registered their interest in signing the right-back, a pursuit headed by manager Russell Martin – according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Whites may have another name in their squad to be forced to replace in the form of Cody Drameh this month.

That is because Southampton have now registered their interest in signing the right-back, a pursuit headed by manager Russell Martin – according to Fabrizio Romano.

It’s a position that Leeds have already tried to strengthen with Max Aarons, before that failed, and it’s one that they may have to explore again.

Here, we look at two players we think the club need to pursue this month if Drameh is leaving…

Brooke Norton-Cuffey

Having spent last season on loan at Rotherham United and Coventry City, Brooke Norton-Cuffy will want to carry on in the same fashion with more senior minutes.

His playing time at Arsenal will be virtually none this season due to the strength of their squad, meaning a move away is the best bet, whether that be on loan or with a view to be a permanent one.

At 6ft1in, Norton-Cuffy brings a great ability to carry the ball beyond defenders which Leeds need from their right-back, and something that hasn’t been on offer thus far.

He’s also an aggressive and strong defender, proving to be just as capable defending his own goal as he is getting forward and contributing in the final third.

Should Leeds cash in on Gnonto?
