Now Daniel Farke and the board have finally found a replacement….

Tyler Adams signs five-year deal at Bournemouth to leave Leeds United immediately – Fabrizio Romano

Tyler Adams has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Bournemouth to quit Leeds United immediately, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Writing on his official Twitter account (19 August), the reliable transfer journalist reports that the American has officially signed his contract with the Cherries overnight after passing a medical.

Adams joins in a deal worth around £24m, and leaves Leeds after just one season following a dispute over his release clause with the Premier League club.

“Tyler Adams has signed five year deal at Bournemouth on Friday night; it won’t include any option to extend, medical passed,” he wrote.

“Excellent addition for Cherries, official soon.”

Shame

It’s a real shame for Leeds and the fans that Adams has decided to up and leave instead of fight for his place in the Championship and become a real cult hero at Elland Road.

The American showed all the right signs of a top attitude and leadership while here, and many believe that with him fit at the end of the season last year we would never have been relegated anyway.Leeds United

But instead he has taken the first step out of the door after initially looking like joining Chelsea, and now he takes a sideways step to Bournemouth instead.

They may be a Premier League club, for now, but they’re not bigger than Leeds and with his help we’d have been back there in a year and he likely would have been set for an even bigger move if he wanted it.

Now Daniel Farke and the board have to focus on finding a replacement because our central midfield options are weak already and we’ve just lost a top quality player.
