Tottenham Hotspur were offered the chance to sign Beto

Beto showed promise with Portimonense in Portugal before heading on loan to Udinese for the 2021-22 season.

Udinese turned the deal permanent and the 25-year-old has now bagged 22 goals in 64 appearances over in Italy.

A huge target man at 6ft 4in tall, Beto has been a real nuisance in Italian football land could be the type of striker to make a real impact under Sean Dyche.

Beto’s agents have seemingly been eyeing a big move this summer.

Spanish website Defensa Central reported back in June that Beto had been offered to Tottenham Hotspur.

Bayern Munich, Napoli and Real Madrid were also invited to make bids for Beto but none of them followed up on that offer.

Tottenham were happy with Harry Kane at that point but now find themselves needing another striker after seeing Kane join Bayern.

We can’t really see Tottenham going for Beto now but Everton will be keen to get this deal sorted before anybody else joins the race.

Everton have re-opened talks to sign Udinese striker Beto after he was offered to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Udinese hitman Beto is back on Everton’s wish list as they seek to bring another striker to Goodison Park.

That is according to Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers, who claims that Everton have started new talks with Udinese over a deal for Beto.

Myers suggested that a deal is unlikely to be completed his week, meaning Everton could be racing to get a deal done before the transfer deadline next week.

Official: Udinese sign Portuguese striker Beto - Football Italia

Everton continue to chase Southampton striker Che Adams and may fancy landing both him and Beto to bolster Sean Dyche’s attack.

Fabrizio Romano adds that Everton have offered around €26million (£22.5million) for Beto having chased his signature in January.

However, Udinese seemingly don’t think that price is high enough and are likely to demand more from Everton.

Beto’s release clause stands at €35million (£30million), so there is a decent gap to be bridged if Everton are to sign Beto.
