Daniel Farke’s Leeds United have been linked with West Ham United striker Michail Antonio in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Transfers, Leeds United are interested in signing Michail Antonio from West Ham United this summer.

Fulham as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia are keen on securing the services of West Ham striker Antonio.

The report has claimed that the £85,000-a-week (Spotrac) Jamaica international striker has told West Ham manager David Moyes that he wishes to leave if the Premier League club bring in Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla in the final days of the summer transfer window.

Moyes prefers to play with one striker upfront, so Antonio could be relegated to the bench if En-Nesyri joins the Hammers.

Antonio has been on the books of West Ham since 2015 and is under contract at the London club until the summer of 2024 with an option for a further year.

Leeds United could struggle to sign Michail Antonio from West Ham United

We do not think that Leeds United will be able to sign Michail Antonio from West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

We do not believe that it is feasible at all.

Leeds are playing in the Championship this season.

Reaction: Michail Antonio - West Ham United

Why would Antonio move a tier down at the age of 33 when he could be playing in the UEFA Europa League with the Hammers this season?

Clubs in Saudi Arabia can offer a lot more salary than Leeds could.

And there is also the option of Fulham, who are in the Premier League.

We do not see a scenario at all in which Antonio leaves West Ham for Leeds in the final days of the summer transfer window.
