The 27-year-old West Ham United player must now be placed in a completely different position by David Moyes.
West Ham manager David Moyes will be overjoyed with how well his squad has started the 2023–24 season.

However, there is one player who hasn’t looked completely comfortable so far.
Since arriving to the London Stadium from Rennes last summer for over £30 million, Nayef Aguerd has generally played well for the Hammers.
He does, however, have some flaws that are starting to show way too regularly for my taste.
It’s time for David Moyes to deploy the 27-year-old West Ham player in a whole different position.
Aguerd played reasonably well against Luton last night, although occasionally his positional play was terrible, and he simply appeared unsteady.
He egregiously was dismissed two weeks ago against Chelsea after a pitiful, poorly timed lunge for the ball, and Jamie Carragher criticized him for his bad judgment.
Dominic Solanke completely exhausted Aguerd during the season opener against Bournemouth.
The ball over his shoulder into our defensive third appears to be his Achilles’ heel right now, and opposing teams appear to be targeting him. There is a simple solution to all of this, as far as I’m concerned, if the Moroccan does not buck his ideas up – move him out to left-back to compete with Emerson Palmieri. Aguerd has more than enough pace and technical ability on the ball to perform the left-back role.
West Ham’s defense might possibly be led by Kurt Zouma and Konstantinos Mavropanos, according to David Moyes. It’s simply a thought, but it’s one I believe the Scot should consider.
