‘You didn’t want to train,’ Sean Dyche responds to Demarai Gray with a scathing Everton transfer accusation.

On Sunday morning, Demarai Gray appeared to criticize Everton manager Sean Dyche.

Sean Dyche has responded to Demarai Gray in order to inform Everton supporters on the winger’s situation.

Gray looked to take a shot at his manager when he posted a message on social media on Sunday morning, less than 24 hours after the Blues were held to a 2-2 draw by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

“Everton fans have always been great with me,” he posted on Instagram. But it’s quite tough to play for someone who does not regard you as a person.”

Gray, who has yet to appear for the Blues this season, is said to be irritated by Everton’s refusal to allow a move away from Goodison Park.

The Saudi Pro League, as well as Besiktas, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and LOSC Lille, have all expressed interest in the 27-year-old. Gray remained an Everton player despite the late deadline day exits of Tom Cannon, Alex Iwobi, and Neese Maupay.

In response to Gray’s post, Blues manager Dyche told evertontv: “It’s an unfortunate one because I try to keep our business in-house.” I believe it is appropriate to respond on this occasion.

“Demarai made it clear that he believed he was getting a move [away from Everton], and he told us a move had been completed, which was interesting to hear from a player.”

“We reminded him that no moves are made without the approval of this club.” That is the reality.

“We look after these players; we look at all of the different ways to take care of them.” The mental and physical well-being are important, as are the tactics and technicalities. We consider all of that for all of these guys, and we take care of them.

“When it gets to a time like that, you say, ‘Wait a minute. You stated unequivocally that you did not want to train, that you did not want to be here, and that you had a pre-arranged move’.

“We said it wasn’t a done deal because this is the most important club.” This club will make decisions about your future as players, not the other way around. I believe it is appropriate to inform our fans of the truth.”
