Everton’s official training images show a trio of players returning to team training and working on their fitness during the international break.

Sean Dyche has had to deal with many injuries at the start of the new season, as well as loanee signing Jack Harrison being out for at least the first month and a half.

He was without Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Alex Iwobi against Aston Villa, as Everton opened the season with three straight losses.

Despite Beto’s contribution to Everton’s four goals in two games, they need their injured players back and firing.

The good news from Finch Farm today is that Calvert-Lewin is training without a face mask, indicating that his fractured cheekbone, which required time for swelling to heal, appears to be nearly healed.

He should be able to return to the matchday squad after the international break and might accompany the in-form Beto.

Seamus Coleman and Dwight McNeil are also in the photos. Coleman has been out since Leicester in April, while McNeil has been out since suffering an ankle ligament injury in a pre-season game against Stoke.

Both have returned to team training, and Dyche will be eager to reintroduce McNeil on the left side, where he was one of Everton’s greatest performers in the closing stages last season.

Danjuma may be shifted up next to Beto, increasing their overall danger, while Coleman can come on for Patterson late in games to assist him manage his minutes.

Everton also revealed that Jarrad Branthwaite, who was called up to the England U21 squad earlier this week, is anticipated to be healthy after the break.
