Everton: A journalist claims that one player finds it difficult to win over Sean Dyche.

According to journalist Paul Brown, Sean Dyche is working to assemble an Everton team that can excel in the Premier League, but one player may not have a future at Goodison Park.

Is the Everton team powerful enough?

The Blues have had a difficult few seasons in the top division, going through back-to-back relegation struggles and just escaping on both occasions. Dyche had to make some crucial additions during the summer transfer window, especially in attack because goals had been hard to come by for an extended period of time.

Everton appear to have made a number of crucial signings in that area of the pitch, with loan acquisition Arnaut Danjuma and permanent arrival Beto both making an impression in the 2-2 draw away to Sheffield United, and it’s fair to say they appear to be astute additions so far.

However, it was only the Blues’ first point of the season, and more progress is needed, but it was obviously a step in the right way, with fellow new acquisition Jack Harrison expected to join the squad soon.

However, there are some players who may be deemed surplus to requirements in the future, and a critical update has emerged regarding one such man.

What have others said about Vitaliy Mykolenko?

Everton left-back Mykolenko calls out 'sh*thead' Russian footballers for staying silent amid Ukraine invasion | Goal.com

Brown revealed to Give Me Sport that Mykolenko is now failing to impress Dyche and could be moved on in the near future:

“If we break it down, I believe Patterson is much better offensively than he is defensively.” I believe he makes poor decisions at times, and his positioning is dubious. At full-back, I believe Young has been caught too many times.

“I think he’s been beaten off the dribble a lot and hasn’t looked like the kind of solid experienced pro that Dyche was hoping to bring in.” Mykolenko, like Patterson, is probably better on the offensive side of the ball than he is on the defensive side. I don’t believe his Everton career ever got off the ground.

“It doesn’t appear that Dyche trusts him; he just doesn’t look like a Sean Dyche full-back.” As a result, we may see less of him than we would have under a different manager. But I believe all three are struggling at the moment and must improve.”

Mykolenko has been a dismal signing for Everton overall, having joined from Dynamo Kiev last year, only scoring once and providing no assists in 52 games. This demonstrates the left-back’s lack of attacking quality and demonstrates why Dyche dislikes him.

The 24-year-old has only played in the EFL Cup this season, with no Premier League action, and while he does have quality on his day, it is meaningless to keep a player who is not respected by the management.

Frank Lampard has already described Mykolenko as “outstanding” after a strong performance against Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, but it makes perfect sense to let him go in the January transfer window if a suitable successor can be found.
