How Leeds United’s starting lineup against Millwall in seven days may look if a £30k/week man returns – View

Leeds United are not in action this weekend as the international break takes precedence, and fitness gains may cause Daniel Farke’s team to appear different against Millwall in seven days.

Daniel Farke’s first year at Elland Road has been difficult off the field, with players departing and little money coming in, but he has already demonstrated his ability to coach excellent performances.

He and the fans will be hoping for points to start flowing again when the season resumes next weekend with a trip to Millwall.

As we prepare for that game, we take a look at how Farke’s team might start to look as the New Den approaches…

El Chelsea no se rinde por Illan Meslier

A 4-2-3-1 on paper is very different from what we see in the game, but it is the greatest method to describe where everyone is playing.

Illan Meslier should hold his place in goal, while his back four sees alterations in both full-back positions, while the centre-backs remain.

Djed Spence caught the eye on his debut against Sheffield Wednesday, and supporters can already see what he’ll bring to the table, while £30,000-per-week left-back Junior Firpo might make his first appearance of the season after missing the start of the season due to another injury.

Fans wanted a new left-back in the summer window, and Sam Byram appeared to have fixed the problem until his injury concerns resurfaced, allowing Firpo to push his claim to start.

We expect Glen Kamara to make his first start of the season in midfield with Ethan Ampadu, after coming off the bench to replace Archie Gray last time out – the 17-year-old has been fantastic, but must be managed cautiously at his age.

Meslier on Chelsea interest: "I still belong to Leeds"

Even with Jaidon Anthony back this week, the attack is expected to remain the same, which means Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe, and Willy Gnonto will play behind Georginio Rutter in a very fluid assault that will likely see Leeds set up more like the image below, in possession:

Farke will have a lot more balanced squad to work with over the course of the season, and hopefully, Leeds will start to get the points their in-game domination says they deserve.
