West Ham are dissatisfied with the recent club news.

West Ham: In addition to Ward-Prowse, the Hammers might be without a £52k per week star.

According to reports, David Moyes has sustained yet another injury blow.

Undoubtedly, West Ham United has been the season’s biggest surprise thus far. After four Premier League games, the Hammers are still unblemished after victories against Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion.

David Moyes’ team has been all the more impressive when you take into account the fact that they also lost Declan Rice to Arsenal in a deal worth an estimated £105 million.

West Ham might not have wanted the international break to arrive so soon, given how strong they’ve been and the increased risk of injury. Without it, the London club would have had the opportunity to maintain its current trend and possibly expand it to one of their greatest stretches under Moyes. However, they are about to resume play after the break with some serious injuries and a lost sense of momentum.

What recent West Ham United injury news is there?

With James Ward-Prowse, a summer transfer from Southampton, apparently suffering an injury last week and missing practice ever since, Moyes may already be without him against the Premier League champions. The England international had an immediate impact at the London Stadium, with three assists and one goal in three games for the Hammers. However, with fans anxiously awaiting the results of a scan this week, the player may potentially miss their upcoming match.

Additionally, Vladimir Coufal has reportedly sustained a minor injury while on international duty and may not play against Manchester City for West Ham on Saturday, according to reports in the Czech Republic.

Without the full-back, Moyes’ team may find it difficult to continue their outstanding unbeaten run given that he has played in each of the first four Premier League games this season. Having said that, the Hammers’ international break has undoubtedly been one to forget, even though it is still unclear how serious Coufal’s problem is.

What has Vladimir Coufal’s season been like?

You’d be excused for thinking that Coufal’s spot in the West Ham lineup this year would be in jeopardy at his current age of 31. But that hasn’t been the case because the Czech Republic international has started each of his team’s league games.

The statistics demonstrate that he is more than deserving of a spot in Moyes’ plans for this season as well. In four games, Coufal has completed 11 progressive passes, carried the ball five times, won six tackles, and made five blocks and interceptions, according to FBref. The right defender has so far this season put on an all-around performance that justifies his reputed pay of £52k per week.

Even Jamie Carragher, who previously included Coufal in his Premier League Team of the Season, has given Coufal plenty of well-deserved plaudits when he performs at his best.

According to Carragher, who spoke to Football London, “I’ve chosen Vladimir Coufal at right-back because I love him. He is a constant for West Ham this season, has been fantastic, and plays every single week.

Everything points to a player that West Ham might use against Manchester City, making his injury while serving his country even more disappointing for Moyes and company, who may now need to find a suitable replacement.
