Tottenham now doubts that a ‘gifted’ kid will ever make it into the first team.

Tottenham Hotspur fans believe that teenager Brooklyn Lyons-Foster will never make it into the first team.

Alasdair Gold, a journalist, was speaking on the Last Word on Spurs Podcast as the international break came to a conclusion.

Tottenham Hotspur will now host Sheffield United in North London on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs fans will be ecstatic to see their club back to play following a fantastic start to the season.

After a terrible season under Antonio Conte, Ange Postecoglou has sparked a stunning reversal of fortunes.

He had a lot of work to do in the summer to get his squad in shape, bringing in a few new players but also letting go of many players who were no longer needed.
Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier, on the other hand, remained at the club despite not being part of his plans.
Tottenham released their Premier League team yesterday, and both players were named.
However, Brooklyn Lyons-Foster, 22, was the only senior player who did not make the squad.
Lyons-Foster may never make it to the first team at Tottenham, according to some.
The versatile player is now too old to play for the senior team and it may be time to find a loan transfer or a new contract.

Lyons-Foster is unlikely to make the Tottenham Hotspur first team.

“That was the one that I must admit when I looked at it and I thought, [Alfie] Whiteman had ankle surgery, he’s going to be out for a little while, I’m not entirely sure when he’s coming back,” Alasdair Gold said when asked if it was a strange call for Spurs to include the injured Alfie Whiteman in Tottenham’s squad ahead of Lyons-Foster.”Unfortunately, I hate to go back to this because he’s a talented player Brooklyn Lyons-Foster, I’ve seen him so many times playing in a variety of positions Brooklyn Lyons-Foster, I’ve seen him so many times playing in a variety of positions.”Even this season, he’s played in defensive midfield and the attacking midfield.

“I just think it’s more of an indication that they don’t see him ever getting into the first team set-up.”And that players like Alfie Dorrington and Ashley Phillips are ahead of him, with only Alfie Whiteman having been in and around the first team set-up for a few years.”

Lyons-Foster will seek to show Tottenham that he is capable of breaking into the first team.
He’s played every match for the Under-21s this season and, despite being on the bench for the senior team twice, has yet to make his debut.
Lyons-Foster is unlikely to play under Postecoglou, who is a great supporter of Ashley Phillips and Alfie Dorrington.
