Everton injury news: Beto could be left out of squad

Everton injury news: Lewis Dobbins, Jarrad Branthwaite, and James Tarkowski all fit to play against Arsenal – BBC Sport

According to BBC Sport, Lewis Dobbin and James Tarkowski are both available for selection for Everton’s match against Arsenal on Sunday.

According to the UK news outlet (15 September), both of Dyche’s first team stars, as well as Jarrad Branthwaite, have overcome minor injuries and will be available to play at Goodison Park on Sunday, September 16.

Dyche also announced in his press conference on Friday afternoon [Liverpool Echo] that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has returned to the squad after recovering from a face injury, as the Toffees look for their first win of the season.

Required inspired performance and outcome

While the results haven’t been great this season, Dyche’s men have put in some good displays, which should give them some hope for the future.

The Toffees should have beaten Wolves and Fulham after some terrible clear-cut chances were squandered, and the Sheffield United stalemate might have easily been a win if not for some defensive blunders.

Everton’s troubles appear to be self-destructive, and they simply cannot afford to behave as such against an Arsenal side in good form and inspired by their 3-1 win over Manchester United before the international break.

While there is a lot of buzz about the 777 partners’ upcoming takeover at Goodison Park [BBC Sport, 15 September], Dyche needs to make sure his team keeps the noise down as they attempt to get their first win of the season against the Gunners.

It will be an extremely difficult game for Dyche and his players, and Arsenal will be expected to win.

Everton, on the other hand, are no strangers to putting a spanner in the works when the Gunners visit, as they discovered last season in February and the season before that under Rafa Benitez.

Can they extend their remarkable home run against a squad that is anticipated to challenge leaders Manchester City once more?

In other Everton news, a player’s stance on a prospective free transfer move to Goodison Park has emerged.
