HOPES FOR RE-CONTRACT WITH FORMER SUNDERLAND HEAD COACH

According to ESPN, Dick Advocaat is in talks to become the Curaçao national team’s head coach. The 75-year-old has nearly 40 years of management experience, having previously led the Netherlands national team, Rangers, Sunderland, PSV, Feyenoord, and numerous more clubs. The talks with the Curaçao Union are still underway, but things are looking up.

Advocaat will succeed Remko Bicentini as manager of Curaçao. Bicentini was fired after the country failed to qualify for the Gold Cup after losing to Saint Kitts and Nevis. Following Bicentini’s departure, Dean Gorré was named interim coach.
