Mollie Rouse, a midfielder for 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam, has signed a professional contract with Sunderland.
The Lady Black Cats confirmed the transfer this afternoon on their official club website.
ouse has previously played football in the Barclays Women’s Championship for Lewes and London City Lionesses. The footballer was most recently seen playing for 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in Germany. Rouse has made 23 league appearances for the club in just over a season.
The player will now play for Sunderland for the first time since the summer of 2022.
Sunderland manager Melanie Reay remarked after gaining Rouse’s services, “I am delighted to bring Mollie to Sunderland.” She brings a wealth of Championship and international experience to our midfield, adding depth and skill. She’ll be in the starting lineup against Crystal Palace tomorrow.”
Sunderland completed the transfer before the abroad transfer window closed on Thursday evening. Manager Reay had previously stated that she was aiming to close a few agreements. It is unknown whether she was successful in bringing any further players to the club during the remaining parts of the summer transfer window.
