Arsenal are planning a surprise approach for Tottenham’s £25 million star, who has excelled under Postecoglou.
According to a rather shocking rumor from Spain, Arsenal is mulling a surprise deal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The 27-year-old struggled under Antonio Conte last season but has made a stunning comeback under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Bissouma has started all five Premier League games for Tottenham this season. In the process, he has contributed to four wins and one tie for his club. Spurs are presently second in the standings.

As a result, Arsenal would almost certainly have to make a very expensive offer to entice Bissouma away from their London rivals.

The connections to the Mali international come amid concerns about Thomas Partey. Partey, according to TEAMtalk, is’ready to depart’ Arsenal if he does not get consistent minutes this season.

This summer, Mikel Arteta brought in Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, who are already two of the Gunners’ first names on the squad sheet.

Arteta appears to prefer a midfield three of Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Havertz at the moment. Partey is presently out with a groin injury, but he may struggle to break into the starting XI when he returns.

Arsenal has been linked with a surprise deal for Bissouma.

Arsenal are exploring a surprise bid for Bissouma when the transfer market reopens in January, according to rumors from Spain (as mentioned by the Hard Tackle).

Tottenham paid £25 million to buy the Malian from Brighton last summer. In a poor 2022/23 Premier League season for Spurs, he made only ten starts. However, as previously said, he has been instrumental in their strong start to the season.

Bissouma may be a superb defensive midfield counterpart for Rice at Arsenal. He might be an upgrade over Partey, who has suffered with injuries in recent seasons.

Arsenal is clearly attempting to improve in this area as well. They have been widely connected with Real Sociedad defensive midfielder Martin Zubimendi, who has a £51 million release clause. Barcelona is interested in him as well.

Zubimendi appears to be a far more probable Arsenal alternative than Bissouma. If they fail to sign the Spaniard, they may make a surprise approach for the Tottenham player.

It would still take a massive offer to persuade Spurs to sell.
