Rory Jennings discusses ‘worst run club’ Everton verdict live on talkSPORT as ‘appalling’ claim made Everton are “incredibly mismanaged” and potentially the “worst run club” in the world, according to Rory Jennings of talkSPORT.
The Toffees are now 18th in the Premier League table, with only one point from their first four games.
However, major news has emerged behind the scenes, with 777 Partners agreeing to acquire Farhad Moshiri’s whole ownership in the club, according to the official Everton website (15 September).
“When you ask me what the first thing that comes to mind about Everton Football Club is, and there are contenders here, the worst run club certainly in the league, possibly in the country, maybe in the world,” Jennings remarked live on talkSPORT.
“They are completely mismanaged.” Everton have invested £500 million and managed to get worse. The business they were running was heinous.”
Despite the takeover news, these are still frightening times for Everton fans, owing mostly to the condition of events on the field.
In recent years, issues behind the scenes have been highly unfavorable, to say the least, and those challenges have resulted in dismal performances on the field. The Merseyside team has been involved in relegation battles in the last two Premier League seasons.
Last season, they almost avoided relegation on the final day, thanks to a critical goal from Abdoulaye Doucoure in a 1-0 win over Bournemouth. The problems have persisted into the new season, with the Toffees failing to win any of their first four games.
Sean Dyche appears to have done his hardest, yet his team has lost to Fulham, Aston Villa, and Wolves, while drawing with Sheffield United.
Worryingly, the club only scored their first goals of the season in their stalemate with the Blades on the fourth occasion.
In other Everton news, Jim White has shared a Moshiri verdict with “good intentions” amid the Toffees takeover rumours.
