Everton have made contact with a “absolute talent” worth £79k per week.

The Goodison Park club could enhance their striking ranks even more in January.

According to sources, Everton are being kept up to date on the situation of an intriguing striker overseas as they consider bringing him to the Premier League in January.

What are the most recent Everton transfer rumors?
Sean Dyche was known to be looking for a new centre-forward over the summer and was heavily linked with a move for Southampton’s Che Adams, but after having two offers rejected due to his side constantly raising their asking price, a deal fell through before the deadline.

The Toffees therefore turned their attention to other targets to provide cover and competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, eventually securing the services of Beto from Udinese after missing out on him in January, and while the boss now has what he was looking for, he is still keen to add another.

Hugo Ekitike of Paris Saint-Germain joined the club permanently last summer after a successful loan last season, but with zero starts and one substitute appearance in Ligue 1 so far this season, he’s dropped substantially down the pecking order, according to WhoScored.

The Goodison Park club reportedly lodged a loan to purchase proposal for the 21-year-old last month, but it was rejected because the overall package was nowhere near his asking price, but if the following update is to be believed, they are planning a second bite of the cherry in January.

Hugo Ekitike is on his way to Everton.
Everton, Brentford, West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Crystal Palace are all “in contact” with Ekitike officials and are “being kept informed of the situation,” according to 90min.

The PSG attacker’s future will be decided “in the coming months,” and while he’s motivated to battle for his place under Luis Enrique, he understands that he needs to start demonstrating more. If the striker is unable to make an impact by December, he is “ready to look at other options,” with his management fully aware of the possible suitors listed above.

England appears to be the most likely destination for him if he moves on, but Lyon, Lens, and his former club Reims are all interested in taking him on loan in Ligue 1.

Hugo Ekitike has how many goals?
Ekitike has made 35 contributions (24 goals and 11 assists) in 87 appearances since the start of his career, earning him the label of “absolute talent” by journalist Antonio Mango, so it’s no wonder that Dyche wants to try to get him back to Everton.

The Frenchman, who earns £79k per week, also has extremely strong link-up play with his attacking teammates in and around the final third, where he ranks in the 96th percentile for pass completion and is a natural finisher but can also hold up the ball and link play together.

Standing at 6 feet 2, Ekitike can also operate out wide on the left wing alongside his usual role leading the line, allowing the manager to have him and Beto or Calvert-Lewin on the pitch at the same time if he wants to add extra firepower to his frontline on Merseyside.
