Leeds United transfer news LIVE: 39-year-old player medical confirmed

Leeds are back in action on the pitch on Thursday evening when they head to Burton to take on Nottingham Forest in their penultimate pre-season friendly of the summer. It comes after a 2-0 defeat to Monaco in York on Saturday, with their final warm-up match being this Sunday’s trip to Hearts. A week after that, Cardiff City visit Elland Road and the Championship season is up and running.

New signing Ethan Ampadu will be hoping to build on his impressive debut when Leeds take on their Premier League opposition and while he won’t be joined in the side by any other new signings at the Pirelli Stadium, it looks like one is on the way.

Karl Darlow is set to return home from Newcastle United’s pre-season tour of American early to undergo a medical and sign for the Whites, as Daniel Farke looks to address another area of need. Going the other way out of the exit door could be Max Wober, who has been linked with a loan move to Borussia Monchengladbach and would join the likes Marc Roca, Diego Llorente, Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch and Rodrigo in leaving the club this summer.

Stay tuned and we will bring you all of the latest developments as they happen.
