On Sunday, October 1, we take a look at the most recent Leeds United transfer rumours.

Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley has signed a new contract, putting an end to speculation linking him to a move to Leeds United. “It’s probably hard to put it into a short sentence, but I think everybody knows how much I enjoy playing here, especially at Celtic Park because I don’t think you get that anywhere else,” he told Celtic TV. I’ve said before that I’m grateful to be a part of a club like this, and I hope we can accomplish many more wonderful things together.’

“I honestly can’t express how much I enjoy playing football here.” It’s great to be a part of a football family. In terms of all we do on and off the field, in terms of community work and charities, etc…, I believe it is fairly unique. I believe it is one-of-a-kind, and I am honored to be a part of it.

“I think it’s important to go into training every day really enjoying the company of your teammates, being able to laugh and push each other.” If you have a solid relationship off the field, it is naturally simpler to demand high standards from each other, and I believe we have a good balance of young and experience right now. I’m still quite young, but I’m probably in the midst of that since we have a youthful team, but that dynamic and balance is quite beneficial.”

“We are really pleased that Matt has agreed this new contract with the club,” Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers stated. As we have seen in recent weeks, Matt is playing some fantastic football, progressing in all parts of his game, and it is an exciting time for him right now.

“I know he’s the type of player Celtic fans adore, and I know he adores it here.” Matt has a lot to offer his game, but he’s always eager to learn, improve, and grow, and that, along with his natural talent, makes him a joy to teach and work with. I am thrilled that he has signed his new contract, and I am confident that he will continue to make a significant contribution to the Club in the future.”

AS Roma are concerned that Diego Llorente has been injured.

AS Roma are contemplating fresh tests on Leeds United loanee Diego Llorente after he suffered a thigh strain in their defeat to Genoa, according to Sky Sports Italy. The injury to hip flexor would normally result in a two-week absence, but Jose Mourinho’s team anticipates a longer absence for the Spaniard.

Roma presently have the league’s third-worst defense and are missing Chris Smalling and Marash Kumbulla due to injuries.
