Manchester United key has joined coventry city as a free agent………

Coventry City boss Mark Robins was full of praise for Ellis Simms after their win over QPR at the weekend.
Coventry City won 3-1 against R’s and the striker scored twice. The Sky Blues swooped in to sign him in the summer.
Simms, 22, has had to be patient in his search for goals so far. He hopes his brace against the Hoops will give him more confidence now. Robins said, according to CoventryLive:
“He has a lot of potential and he is certainly not finished yet. He scored a goal for Everton against Chelsea last season and it was absolutely unbelievable.

“He has everything and can be a real handful. And sometimes it’s just about learning the game and getting used to how it works and not trying to make it what you want but within his limits, abilities and comfort, and trying to push that there to help him get better and get him to try things. he usually won’t try.

“But that will come with experience and confidence.”

Confidence is growing for the Coventry man
Simms has big shoes to fill at Coventry after being brought in following the departure of Viktor Gyokeres to Sporting Lisbon in the last transfer window. He signed for Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers before joining former club Everton as a youth player in 2017. The Oldham-born player made 12 appearances for the Toffees’ first team, just scored a goal.

The striker left Goodison Park on loan at Blackpool, Hearts and Sunderland to gain experience. He was successful last season and scored seven goals in 17 matches before being recalled.

Everton decided to buy him in July and it took him a while to find his footing at Coventry. However, yesterday was a big day for him and he will be looking to build on that momentum now.

Robins men will be back in action on Wednesday at home to Blackburn Rovers before hosting Norwich City at their home ground on Saturday.
