BBC :Player’s move to Aston Villa key with €8m as a free agent……

The player’s move to Aston Villa could cost his club €8 million in transfer fees
At the end of the summer transfer window, Clément Lenglet rejected a move to Saudi Arabia and joined Aston Villa.
The move is still being discussed in the Spanish media, where Marca today published an article claiming Al Nassr wants to pay the transfer fee.

There appears to have been an official offer from Saudi Arabia, who have set a price of €8m and will continue to pay him an annual salary of €12m.

Although Barcelona thought it was the “right move” and wanted to take advantage, they saw Lenglet reject the opportunity. And due to his excellent behavior at the club, they decided not to push things forward. At the end of the transfer window, Sevilla, Betis and Aston Villa wanted a loan deal, and Unai Emery’s side won that race.
It has been claimed that the Villans will spend €16 million on Lenglet’s salary, and Marca claim that despite claims of these figures, his salary is actually worth €12 million.

Barcelona therefore seems to regret missing such an opportunity, while Aston Villa can rest assured that this player is determined to continue at the highest level.
