Victoriaville Tigres key has join Vegas Golden as a free agent

VEGAS (September 12, 2023) – Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, September 12, that the team has signed forward Maxime Comtois to a professional tryout agreement.

Comtois, 24, has spent five seasons with the Anaheim Ducks since being drafted by the club in the second round (50th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The forward has played 210 games during his time in Anaheim and scored 86 points (38 G, 48 A). During the shortened 2020-21 season, Comtois led the Ducks in career-highs in goals (16), assists (17) and points (33) in 55 games.

On the international stage, the Longueuil, Quebec native has represented his country around the world at several events, including the 2021 IIHF World Championship, where Canada won the gold medal. Before playing professionally, Comtois spent four seasons in the QMJHL with Voltigeurs de Drummondville (2018-19) and Tigres de Victoriaville (2015-18).
