Aston Villa is linked to a move to Wolves, despite Arsenal’s desire.

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Pedro Neto.

Since regaining his form, the 23-year-old has one goal and four assists in seven games, attracting a lot of attention. Neto had a rough season last year due to an ankle ailment.

Arsenal, who are known to be long-time admirers of the winger, reportedly sent scouts to observe Neto play in their 2-1 win against Manchester City. However, according to 90min, the Gunners aren’t the only club interested in his talents.

Villa are alleged to have “recently checked on his progress” ahead of any potential January deals. Neto is also reportedly admired by Atletico Madrid and the Saudi Pro League.

“He has been absolutely incredible for the six or seven weeks I have been here,” Wolves boss Gary O’Neil remarked of the winger’s contribution thus far this season.

“I am really impressed with Pedro’s progress. He has given his everything and demonstrated a major moment of quality [against Luton], which sums up how he has been for me over the last six weeks.”
