Everton is interested in a German striker who is ‘absolutely’ on Liverpool’s radar.

According to one journalist, Maximilian Beier’s name is ‘certainly on Liverpool’s list,’ and the forward might be available for a little more than €20 million (£17 million).

Beier, 20, plays for Hoffenheim, the team from which the Reds signed Roberto Firmino, and has four goals in four starts this season.

The young striker’s performances have caught the attention of football fans all around Europe, and according to German journalist Christian Falk, he is a player who Liverpool, as well as rivals Everton, are interested in.

“Another name on Liverpool’s list is Maximilian Beier of Hoffenheim – I heard he’s definitely on the list, as he brings something that’s very interesting for Liverpool!” Falk revealed to Caught Offside.

“This season, his top speed was 35.45kmph.” It’s also great for Germany, as he’s the second-fastest German player after Leroy Sane. His contract at Hoffenheim expires in 2025, and I’ve heard he has a release clause; he’ll be a little more expensive for English clubs, but only €20 million for German clubs. As you can see, Liverpool is taking another look at the Bundesliga.

“He’s a player you can educate quickly, who can play as a striker as well as on the wings, which would benefit Liverpool’s forward line rotations.” I believe he’s fascinating.

“He could be the next German national player; he may not play in the upcoming matches, but he will play for Germany.” He’s not too pricey, which fits Liverpool’s business strategy. Keep in mind, though, that Brentford and Everton are both interested in the player.”

Meanwhile, Falk has hinted that Liverpool could make a move for RB Leipzig’s Belgian attacker Lois Openda in the future.

“Leipzig are a little relaxed at the moment, as next summer there’s no active release clause for Lois Openda,” he stated.

“It starts in 2025, and I heard it’s a little more than the €80m reported elsewhere.”

“I’m sure clubs like Liverpool will be watching him.” You can see from Dominik Szoboszlai’s experience with RB Leipzig players that it has been generally favorable.

“It’s also worth noting the similarity in style between the two clubs, which is obviously of benefit to Liverpool.”

According to Anfield Watch, Liverpool’s recruitment focus in 2024 will be to bolster the defense. A left-sided center back has long been desired, and Joel Matip’s contract is set to expire next summer.

However, if Mohamed Salah moves due to continuing Saudi interest, the Reds may be in the market for more strikers.

Jarrod Bowen has also been connected, with West Ham contract talks allegedly moving slowly.
