According to one journalist, Maximilian Beier’s name is ‘certainly on Liverpool’s list,’ and the forward might be available for a little more than €20 million (£17 million).
Beier, 20, plays for Hoffenheim, the team from which the Reds signed Roberto Firmino, and has four goals in four starts this season.
The young striker’s performances have caught the attention of football fans all around Europe, and according to German journalist Christian Falk, he is a player who Liverpool, as well as rivals Everton, are interested in.
“Another name on Liverpool’s list is Maximilian Beier of Hoffenheim – I heard he’s definitely on the list, as he brings something that’s very interesting for Liverpool!” Falk revealed to Caught Offside.
“This season, his top speed was 35.45kmph.” It’s also great for Germany, as he’s the second-fastest German player after Leroy Sane. His contract at Hoffenheim expires in 2025, and I’ve heard he has a release clause; he’ll be a little more expensive for English clubs, but only €20 million for German clubs. As you can see, Liverpool is taking another look at the Bundesliga.
“He’s a player you can educate quickly, who can play as a striker as well as on the wings, which would benefit Liverpool’s forward line rotations.” I believe he’s fascinating.

Meanwhile, Falk has hinted that Liverpool could make a move for RB Leipzig’s Belgian attacker Lois Openda in the future.

“It starts in 2025, and I heard it’s a little more than the €80m reported elsewhere.”
