Team news for Leeds United as Daniel Farke makes two changes for the game against Bristol City

When Leeds United plays Bristol City in the Championship at Elland Road, they are aiming for their second home victory in a week.

In preparation for today’s Championship match at Elland Road against Bristol City, Daniel Farke has made two changes to his starting lineup for Leeds United. The Whites have the chance to build on their victory over QPR on Wednesday night and earn another three points at home today in order to solidify their position in the playoffs.

Jamie Shackleton is out for the Whites after suffering a second straight shoulder injury. Thankfully, though, Sam Byram has been cleared to start a third game in a week.

He appears to be playing on the left, but at the moment it’s unclear who will play on the right as Farke decided to move Luke Ayling to the bench. With the return of Glen Kamara, three center-midfielders—Archie Gray, Ethan Ampadu, and Kamara—are named to the starting lineup.

Continually updating, Leeds United vs. Bristol City

All three individuals have some, albeit little, experience playing at right-back, therefore Farke may opt to use that formation this afternoon. After hurting his ankle against QPR, Jaidon Anthony was another player who was being closely watched going into this match, with Farke giving him a 50/50 rating.

Dan James re-enters the lineup as he is sent to the bench. After Farke’s 13-minute explanation during his press conference on Friday afternoon, it is not surprising to find Joel Piroe listed at number 10, while Georginio Rutter appears to have received the top spot.

Illan Meslier, Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Sam Byram, Archie Gray, Glen Kamara, Dan James, Joel Piroe, Cryscnio Summerville, and Georgino Rutter are all members of Leeds United.

Bench: Joe Gelhardt, Ian Poveda, Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford, Karl Darlow, Luke Ayling, Charlie Cresswell, and Jaidon Anthony.
