‘As long as you…’: Everton star explains how players may impress Sean Dyche.

Arnaut Danjuma of Everton has had a tough start to life at Goodison Park since his arrival this summer, but he has recently lauded boss Sean Dyche.

The attacker joined on loan from Villarreal in La Liga in the summer, but has only appeared in three Premier League games, scoring once.

The 26-year-old has previously worked under Eddie Howe and Unai Emery, but has lauded Sean Dyche’s communication skills and revealed what the Everton squad must do to satisfy him.

Danjuma told Stadium Astro that Dyche is a direct communicator and that it is up to the players in the squad to earn his respect.

“He’s pretty straightforward as a manager,” Danjuma said.

“As long as you run, and as long as you work hard, he will respect you.”

“What is there to say about Sean Dyche? He’s quite direct in the way he speaks and approaches you, and it’s up to you as a player to deal with it and cope with it.”

The Dutch international is yet to be given a true chance to shine at Everton, but he will be hoping for a longer run in the lineup to help alleviate the club’s attacking woes.

He would often impress with his dribbling talents during his early days at Villarreal, but he would also produce in front of goal, scoring 16 goals in La Liga and the Champions League in his debut season in Spain.

He struggled for form at Villarreal after that great season, and was benched for half a season in an unexpected loan move to Tottenham Hotspur.

He will now hope for a solid run of games for the first time in nearly two years, and if he can regain his clinical form, Everton stand to gain a lot by giving him a chance to save the Toffees’ season.
