Wanya Marcal-Madivadua of Leicester City has told Enzo Maresca that “I am ready” to return to the first team.
Marcal-Madivadua has appeared twice in the Championship for City this season, as well as in the first two Carabao Cup games. The 20-year-old has now returned to the under-21s but is eager to return to the first team.
When asked about his season thus far, he stated that it is “going well,” but that he is not receiving “as much game time” as he would want. He stated that he will be ready to answer the phone if Maresca calls.

“I think it’s going well,” he said, according to LCFC.com. “I’ve accomplished far more than I anticipated.” The entire pre-season with the first team has gone well, including a goal at King Power Stadium in front of all the supporters. Every day, I look forward to training with them.
“Obviously, I’m not getting as much game time as I’d like right now, but I’m happy to be playing with the Under-21s and staying sharp and fit.” Obviously, I’m doing everything I can to help them. Whenever Enzo calls and I get the call, I hope I’m prepared.
“I think it gives them (his under-21 teammates) a huge boost to see someone they’ve trained and played with their entire careers up until now going up and playing with the first team and being a part of the first team squad.”
“I think it’s a great positive that they can build on and see that they, too, can make it.” So they simply have to keep going and they’ll have their turn.”
