Report: Tottenham player now set to be dropped and embarrassingly replaced by £45m Arsenal man

Report:
The Tottenham player will now be dropped and replaced by an Arsenal player worth £45 million.
Richarlison could make life miserable for Brazil as the £45m Arsenal player is detained
Tottenham striker Richarlison has hardly had the best time in the past 12 months for both club and national team.

Despite scoring a late winner against Sheffield United, Richarlison struggled to find form at Spurs and was even dropped from his centre-back role by Heung-Min Son.
For Brazil, Richarlison’s failure to score against Venezuela on Thursday night means they now have six players unregistered for the Selecao. And shamefully, he could now be replaced by an Arsenal player.

Gabriel Jesus will replace Richarlison for Brazil
According to Brazilian media outlet Istoe, Richarlison’s place in Brazil’s starting lineup is increasingly threatened as his disastrous form continues. During the match against Venezuela, he withdrew for Jesus and reports suggested that this was a sign that the Brazilian management was inclined to give Jesus an early start.

Richarlison now clearly has the manager’s backing at international level. But another lackluster game could see him ruled out and that means Richarlison is now warming up on the bench for Spurs and Brazil.

Of course, Arsenal fans and Jesus himself will be delighted to get the green light. Whether the Gunners can score or not is also up for debate.
It just doesn’t happen
That hasn’t happened for Richarlison since joining Spurs. Harry Kane’s departure should have opened a door for him too, but even now he is struggling to get out.

Unfortunately, for a striker – especially Brazil’s number 9 – scoring goals is enough. And right now, Richarlison isn’t doing that.

For Gabriel Jesus – for whom Arsenal actually paid £45m, £15m less than Richarlison’s price – this could be an opportunity for him to cement his place in the Brazil squad and also be one of goals to improve his confidence in an Arsenal shirt. Also.

We all know that Jesus’ journey was more than just that. But six games is a long time for a Brazilian No.9 to go without scoring and Jesus will be eager to show that the red club from London can provide a solution for the Selecao.
