Aston Villa ‘illing to go all out’ for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos

Aston Villa are prepared to offer Dani Ceballos double his current salary to join from Real Madrid, according to Defensa Central.

The Madrid-centric outlet reported on its website on Wednesday [20 September] that Villa will “go all out” to sign Ceballos in the January window.

As well as offering Ceballos wages of £6.9million a year (€8m), Villa are said to be prepared to pay Madrid up to £15.6m (€18m) for the midfielder

The report adds that Carlo Ancelottiis a fan of the 27-year-old and is hopeful he remains in the Spanish capital.

Madrid regular

Thanks to the European football they can offer – hopefully beyond Christmas time – Villa are now a more attractive proposition for big-name players.

That is not to mention the fact that the Villans pulled off a coup of sorts by persuading Unai Emery to take charge a little under a year ago.

Moussa Diaby and Pau Torres arrived in the summer window for large sums, and it appears that Ceballos will be next in at Villa Park if Emery gets his wish.

The 13-cap Spain international is already pretty well known to Premier League viewers following his time on loan with Arsenal.

Ceballos performed well at the Emirates Stadium but has since returned to Real Madrid, where he featured regularly last season.

He has not played so far this campaign, but that is down to an injury problem sustained in pre-season that he is close to recovering from.

Given Ceballos is trusted by Ancelotti at a club the size of Real Madrid, it is fair to say Villa fans will be excited by this latest transfer update.

In other Aston Villa news, the Villans appear to have received some bad news ahead of facing Chelsea next weekend.
