SHOCKING NEWS :Wests Tigers release a shocking statement on a player contract status……..

Statement released by Wests Tigers on the contract status of Alex Twal
. He has been linked with the Bulldogs and Sea Eagles.
Wests Tigers striker Alex Twal has made a huge decision regarding his future that will keep him locked up for the long term.

Already under contract for next season, Twal has signed a new long-term deal with Wests Tigers, which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2027 NRL season.
The move by Twal and the Tigers come after he was recently linked with the Canterbury Bulldogs after reportedly being granted permission to talk to rival teams.
Reports have also emerged linking him to a potential player swap with the Manly Sea Eagles involving Sean Keppie. However, Keppie is likely to sign for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
“This club means a lot to me and I am delighted to extend my permanent stay,” Twal said in a club statement.

“I made my NRL debut at Wests Tigers and it felt like family.

“We still have a lot to achieve as a club and a team, and so do I as a player. I can’t wait to put 2023 behind me and start pre-season training in a few weeks.
The striker made his NRL debut with the Wests Tigers on matchday 17 of the 2017 season and has since made 124 appearances for the club over seven seasons.
The cult hero, who scored his first NRL try in 2023, has been a mainstay for the Tigers in recent seasons as a prop or lock. However, some at the club believe that modern football is simply too fast for the 27-year-old.
That said, he has great mentoring qualities for a generation of young forwards who will want to impress in 2024 as the Tigers take a new direction under coaching rookie chief Benji Marshall.

Head coach Benji Marshall is absolutely delighted to see Twal re-sign for the club and believes his consistency is key to the Tigers’ future long-term success.

“He works hard, prepares well and puts in solid work every week,” Marshall said.
“He is an integral part of the Wests Tigers family and we love his commitment and loyalty to our club.
“It’s great to have Alex here for so long long and we look forward to seeing him continue to improve his football here at Wests Tigers.”
This was echoed by Managing Director Justin Pascoe, who said the 27-year-old has consistently proving himself on and off the field over several years.
“We are “delighted to enter into a new long-term agreement with Alex and his family,” Pascoe said.
“This new contract will see Alex join a select group of players to play for a decade or more at Wests Tigers. That says a lot.
