Panthers’ Jeremy Chinn injured, expected to miss six weeks
Carolina Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn expected to miss six weeks, NFL insider Adam Schefter reported this morning Wednesday.
Chinn suffered what was described as a “significant” quad injury, which does not require surgery but will take time to heal.
To make matters worse, Chinn has one year left on his contract and is set to become a free agent in the 2024 offseason.

When healthy, Chinn is one of the Panthers’ best defensive players. He started all six games this season and started 11 games last year, missing six games due to a hamstring injury.
Panthers player Jeremy Chinn suffered a serious quadriceps injury and is expected to be sidelined for six weeks, according to league sources. Chinn does not need surgery but he is also in the final year of his contract and is expected to become a free agent after this season.

There were rumors that Chinn could be traded before the October 31 trade deadline. However, with his recent injury, plans may have changed.

It doesn’t help that Chinn hasn’t played as much as he did three seasons ago. He was only on the field for about 50% of the Panthers’ defensive snaps.
Now with an injury, he will have to miss a lot of time.
