Wests Tigers player arrested and charged with murder
Player denied bail over alleged crime
Young member of Wests Tigers playing team, Masei Tavui, arrested and charged with one count of murder .
New South Wales Police say the 19-year-old is responsible for the death of underworld figure Dejan Radulovic on July 29, according to reports from various media outlets including the Sydney Morning Herald and News.com .At.


Reports say Radulovic was stabbed and shot in Donnelly Street in Balmain following an argument on the day in question, causing serious head and shoulder injuries which police believe may have been caused by due to beatings and stabbings.
Police searched his home on Tuesday to seize evidence before taking him away. Tavui was taken to Liverpool Police Station after being arrested and charged with the alleged offence.


He was said to have been refused bail and appeared at a detention hearing at Liverpool Local Court while another man was also charged with complicity in the murder.

A junior coming through the ranks at the Tigers, Tavui has been with the club for four years and has played alongside some talented players who will be pushing for first-class honors in the coming years during SG’s 2023 Ball campaign.


The back rower previously competed in the Harold Matthews Competition (under 17s) before moving to SG Ball (under 19s) at the Western Suburbs Magpies this year, where he made all appearances from the ice substitute, but did not play in the second half of the season before the Magpies were eliminated in week one of the finals by the Parramatta Eels.
