REASON Why Bolton Wanderers Will Win League One

Why Bolton Wanderers will win League One – Opinion
Despite an unstable start to the 2023/24 League One season, Bolton Wanderers still sit in the play-off spots. Getting promoted is the main goal, but can they do better?
The Trotters have experienced many emotions in recent seasons. Financial difficulties, successive relegations, new owners, stability in League Two and promotion success all led to this moment. Having once again established itself as a well-run and successful football club, this is a club that can dream once again.

One of Wanderers’ biggest strengths coming into this campaign was keeping the core of players which almost achieved success last season. Falling short at the hands of Barnsley in the play-off semi-final, the players should feel hungry to push themselves so that they don’t have to repeat the disappointment of May.

In his first season at Toughsheet Community Stadium (then University of Bolton Stadium), the 41-year-old guided his side to promotion at the first time of asking, an achievement astonishing for someone so inexperienced at that level.
Over the years, Evatt has helped strengthen the club and with the right resources and players, he is certainly good enough to take the EFL Trophy champions out of League One, possibly as champion.
The League

Compared to previous years, it can be said that Ligue 1 is much weaker. With the rise of Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town and Sunderland in recent years, this has paved the way for teams of smaller stature and lower budgets to have the opportunity to enter the competition.
This is no small advantage for Bolton. Even if we have to respect our opponents, given the quality of the squad and the size of the club, this is still the Mancunian club’s best chance of winning titles and returning to the football championship.
