detroit lions head Coach confirms star return

Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo returns to practice field
After missing Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears with a back injury, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is back on the practice field as the Silver and Black prepare for the Detroit Lions. “He’ll be out there,” Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said before practice. Barring the possibility of a setback this week, McDaniels expects Garoppolo to play Monday night at Detroit

“I’m very hopeful. Yes, as long as we don’t have anything going to the contrary. We hope that happens.” Garoppolo returns to lead an offense that has struggled through the first seven games this season. After missing two games, Garoppolo now has the most interceptions in the league and has more interceptions than touchdowns.

The veteran midfielder will look to match a strong Lions defense that features one of the best defensive linemen in the National Football League.

“The [Lions] defense was very good offensively.. [Aidan] Hutchinson’s defense was a very good player; great effort,” McDaniels said.. “I think their front is not fully recognized; there are a lot of troublemakers.” “The two fullbacks and the two safeties are their best tacklers and they do a great job moving the ball.. You can see the way they play, and they’re very opportunistic.. They have a lot of balls in their hands, a lot of PBUs, and a lot of revenue opportunities that they create.
