key player open up about departure from Red Wings

Jakub Vrana talks about his departure from the Red Wings
The former Red Wing revealed some additional information..
For reasons we may never fully understand, things did not go well between the Detroit Red Wings and forward Jakub Vrana.. As you may recall, Vrana entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program for an undisclosed issue and was out for two months after just the first two games of the 2022–23 schedule.

After being rehabilitated, he was sent to a conditioning camp with the American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins before being released. No team picked him up and he remained in the Red Wings organization. He would eventually be recalled to the big club, but he was used sparingly and was mostly a healthy scratch. They officially severed ties at the NHL trade deadline, trading him to the St. Louis Blues for a future 7th-round draft pick.
He immediately scored points with the Blues, immediately accumulating the same numbers as when he came to the Red Wings.. In 20 matches after being accepted by St.. Louis bought him, he scored 10 goals, reaching a pace of 40 goals in an entire 82-game season..

In his first truly emotional interview since his trade with Czech site Denik Sport, Vrana explained that he believes someone in the Red Wings organization simply didn’t want him anymore after he completed his tenure and renovation period.
“I don’t know if it came from the coach (Derek Lalonde) or the general manager (Steve Yzerman),” Vrana explained. “But I feel like something is wrong.”
