Aston Villa player is ‘having a horrible period in his career’ – The director may open the way for a transfer.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Real Betis have named Lex Moreno as one of their objectives to replace Juan Miranda.

Miranda’s contract expires in July 2024, and with no renewal in sight and AC Milan showing interest, he could switch teams in January.

The Aston Villa left-back and Atlético Madrid’s Javi Galán have been named as targets by the La Liga club.

Real Betis sporting director Ramón Planes is said to be the most fond of Galán, and his club is keeping a careful eye on his situation in Madrid. His contract expires in 2026, and according to the source, he is not considering leaving Los Rojiblancos at this time.

As a result, Planes is searching at other choices, and Moreno may perhaps fit in. The Spaniard spent more than three years at Real Betis before joining Aston Villa in January.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the 30-year-old was pleased at Real Betis, but Aston Villa’s offer was ‘irrefutable,’ so he joined them.

He made 19 appearances for Unai Emery’s team in the second part of last season before suffering a hamstring injury in May.

According to the article, he is “having a bad time in his sporting career,” owing primarily to the injuries. Planes had previously joked that the Villans player had informed him that he wanted to return to the club.

“I met Lex Moreno this summer and he told me ‘hey, I want to come back,'” Estadio cited Planes as saying, however it was later clarified that this was a humorous rather than a genuine statement.

Real Betis’ possible deal for a new left-back would be contingent on Miranda’s departure, and as it stands, Galán appears to be ahead of the Aston Villa defender on Planes’ list.
